Privacy policy

fixcrash is an open-source Claude Code plugin by Ilya Seliverstov. This policy covers the plugin and this website. fixcrash collects nothing. It has no server, no account, no telemetry and no analytics: nothing it does reaches its author.
What the plugin reads
- Crash data from your Firebase project: Crashlytics issues and events, read through Google's Firebase MCP server (
firebase-tools) with your own Firebase login. - Your repository: its code and its git history.
Crash events can hold personal data of your app's users. Before Claude reads an event, fixcrash's hook drops user ids and installation ids, and masks emails, IP addresses, tokens and other secrets in messages, logs, breadcrumbs and custom keys. No personal data from an event goes into a test, a commit, a pull request or a Crashlytics note: tests use made-up values.
Where data goes
Everything fixcrash sends goes to services you already use, with your own accounts, under their terms and privacy policies:
- Anthropic: crash events, after redaction, and your code reach Claude as part of your Claude Code session, like anything else in it.
- Google (Firebase): Crashlytics reads, and a note on an issue only when you agree. fixcrash never changes an issue's state.
- GitHub: the fix branch and the pull request, through
gitandgh, only when you agree. - Package registries:
firebase-toolsfrom npm the first time the MCP server starts, and Swift packages the first time an iOS project resolves them. These are downloads; nothing of yours is uploaded.
Nothing else: no server of fixcrash's own, and no other destination.
What it keeps on your machine
- In your repository's git directory,
.git/fixcrash/: a worktree and build caches, receipts of verified fixes, the redacted events and their expected failures, attempt counts, session markers and build logs. - For a React Native app, a worktree with its
node_modulesin~/.cache/fixcrash/worktrees/. - In your checkout, a
fixcrash/…branch with the test and the fix.
These stay until you delete them. Deleting .git/fixcrash/ and ~/.cache/fixcrash/ removes everything fixcrash keeps; uninstalling the plugin doesn't.
